SPRING TRAINING CAMP DATES FOR YOUTH ANNOUNCED

Shamrock Head Coach Ryan Bunnell has announced the dates for the 9th annual Rocks Spring Training Camps to be held at Westfield High School's beautiful Multi-Purpose Facility.  Join Coach Bunnell and the rest of the coaching staff and players for an excellent opportunity to prepare for the upcoming baseball season!  All camps for grades K-6 will offer a low camper to instructor ratio to insure quality instruction and campers will be placed in age groups to insure the most improvement while remaining challenging and fun during the camp experience.  This is a great opportunity for the Rocks Coaching Staff to get exposed to and aquainted with some future Shamrocks!  To register for camps, click on the "Spring Training Camps" link in the website header or simply click the link below.

SALDUTTI COMMITS TO BULLDOGS

During the NCAA early signing period, senior Nick Saldutti signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball at Butler University next fall.  Saldutti  was named to the All Hoosier Crossroads Conference Team and  was an All Indy Metro North Honorable North selection.  He hit fourth in the order for most of the 2011 season, ending the season with the second most RBI's (23 in 91 AB) on the team and tied for the team lead in doubles (7) and triples (2).

“Nick has logged countless hours in the cages to become a Division I caliber player,  so it’s neat to see him realize the fruits of his labor and reach the goal he set for himself.  He is very deserving of his scholarship and Butler is fortunate to have a kid of his caliber, both as a player and person, joining their club next fall,” said Westfield Head Baseball Coach Ryan Bunnell.

Butler University Head Coach Steve Farley commented, "Nick had an excellent summer and just kept getting better every game.  At the Crossroads Showcase held last June at the expansive pro park in Gary, Ind., he was the only hitter out of about 80 guys to launch a home run over the fence. He plays a solid first base and he has big-time power potential from the left side of the plate. He's going to continue to get bigger and stronger in our program and he'll have a good opportunity to be our first baseman for the future."
